Resumen
The study aimed to understand the experiences and meaning of life of the elderly victim of family violence in times of COVID-19. The research was qualitative by design Phenomenological research. Through an intentional non-probabilistic sampling, a sample of 08 older adults from the Municipality of the Pillcomarca district, Huánuco - Peru, period 2020 was formed. The data were obtained from an in-depth interview guide and observation guide. The results show that the experience of the pandemic generated feelings of negativity, thoughts of not having strength, always feeling pain, there is no sense of life and being a burden on the family. There was also a feeling of loneliness and they had no projects for the future due to the lack of motivation towards life, their ideals, dreams and expectations have declined, the lack of strength to be able to withstand the pandemic, the fear of contagion, they announced that the only solution To free yourself from pain and suffering is death. And, the violence of the elderly could be seen in its different modalities: Psychological, physical, abandonment and economic.
