Resumen

The objective of the article is to analyze the environmental impact of polycrystalline photovoltaic systems by evaluating the life cycle of a group of 5 rural houses and the Rubi solar power plant. Each case is located in different regions of Peru and have a capacity of 2 kW and 179.5 MW, respectively. In both cases a calculation of the energy payback time (EPBT) and the carbon footprint they produce was done. For the analysis the stage of manufacturing, transport, installation, uninstallation of the solar panels and some components of the balance of system (BOS) was considered.
