Resumen
The research objective was to evaluate and determine the deterioration in quality of the Higueras river in the Province of Huánuco. Aquatic environmental degradation has a significant impact on the free life of benthic river macroinvertebrates. Results of the organoleptic analysis and the physicochemical parameters of 13 sampling stations, show in zones 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 downstream the quality degradation process, compromising in reducing the biological diversity and health of the environment, caused by the anthropic activity constant accelerating its degradation. In conclusion, the organoleptic and physicochemical parameters show the aquatic quality of Higueras is very bad caused by anthropic contamination.
