Resumen
The objective was to determine the relationship between knowledge and application of measures for neonatal pain. A correlational study was conducted with 41 nurses from the Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia, Lima 2016. A knowledge questionnaire and observation guide was used. The test used was Chi Square. 51.2% had good knowledge and 87.8% applied the measures. In addition, there was a relationship between knowledge and application of measures (p≤0.003); and between knowledge with non-pharmacological measures (P≤0.024) and pharmacological measures (P≤0.013). In conclusion, the knowledge of the nursing professional is related to the application measures in the relief of neonatal pain.
