Abstract
The aim of this research was to demonstrate if the social intervention conducted by the Professional School of Sociology contributes in the development of agroecological awareness, for the sustainable development in Huanuco’s rural communities and to propound a program of agroecological awareness. A socioeconomic diagnostic survey and a questionnaire Likert were applied to 269 peasants of Malconga and Pachabamba communities. In sum, the social intervention doesn’t contribute to the development of agroecological awareness and according to the diagnostic, the awareness program has been suggested which is based on the Learning by Doing Method.
